Our commitment
We want Training Signals to work for every athlete, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across both the website and the iOS app, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox.
Where we stand
We have completed an internal review of the app against WCAG 2.1 AA. This is a self-assessment, not a third-party certification, and we continue to test and improve. Recent work includes:
- Color contrast raised to meet the AA thresholds for text and interface elements.
- A "skip to content" link and clear keyboard focus order so the app is fully operable without a mouse.
- Labels on form controls, and status and error messages that are announced to screen readers.
- Proper dialog semantics and focus management for the coach chat, support chat, and confirmation dialogs.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" system setting, so animations calm down when you ask your device to.
- On iOS, a native accessibility pass covering VoiceOver labels, focus handling when moving between native screens and web content, Dynamic Type text sizing, and reduced motion.
Compatibility
Training Signals is built to work with recent versions of major browsers and their built-in assistive technology, including VoiceOver on Apple devices and the screen readers and zoom tools common on other platforms. It also supports your device's own text-size, contrast, and reduce-motion settings.
Known limitations
Some areas are still improving. Certain data visualizations (such as fitness-trend charts) convey their detail primarily visually, and we are working to add fuller text and table alternatives. If you rely on one of these and something isn't working for you, please tell us, real reports help us prioritize.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into an accessibility barrier, or you need something in a different format, email us at support@trainingsignals.cc. Please include the page or screen, the device and assistive technology you were using, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days and to fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can.
